Leadership & Governance
President & Managing Director
C.J. Allen is the President and Managing Director of MADE and serves on its Board of Directors.
Before being named President in November 2017, C.J. was the Creator and Executive Producer of The Shot and was responsible for the program’s operations, fundraising and content and experience development. C.J. also served as a judge and played a key role in building The Shot’s mentorship and artist development activities.
Prior to creating The Shot, C.J. spent eight-years living and working in the publishing, entertainment and music industries in Asia including leading in the creation of print, web and television properties.
C.J. earned a Bachelor of Arts from Trent University.
Music & Artist Development Experience is a federally registered not-for-profit corporation recognized by Corporations Canada under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (S.C. 2009, C. 23). In accordance with the Act, MADE is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who manage the Corporation’s operations, finances and policies and procedures.
Board of Directors
MADE’s Board of Directors oversees the senior management in the competent and ethical operation of MADE on a day-to-day basis and assures that the long-term interests of members are being served. To satisfy the Board’s duties, directors are expected to take a proactive, focused approach to their positions, and set standards to ensure that MADE is committed to success through the maintenance of high standards of responsibility and ethics.
